hi. new to the group and computer stupid. i have a 1982 contest 32cs. my seacock valves are all frozen open. my boat is 600 mi. from here in juneau alaska waiting to come across the gulf of alaska. i am wanting to know if there is a valve i can buy that will slip into the bronze thru hull fitting-size etc, and i do not want to put gate valves back in so would appreciate any comments. thanks  captkirb

Hi Captain Kirk!

I don't think that will be any problem! You only need to know the right dimensions of your seacocks. (it is the same wiring, but in inches)

I would recomment you to use bronze "bullet" seacocks (the ones that you can close by one hand)

Watch out when your ship is in the water when you will replace them! The fittings may not turn loose!!

thanks for the input. can anyone help me with kind of threads(bsp or whatever) on the seacock valves in contest 32 so i can order the correct valves before i fly to the boat. thanks xaptkirb
