Does anyone have suggestions for property insurance for the boat.  We live aboard our Contest 46, Escapade, for 6 months a year in Florida and the Bahamas.  The boat stored on land in a secure area from June to December.  Insurance has been possible but expensive with some limitations on coverage.  Does anyone have any suggestions of insurance companies or brokers?  All ideas are most welcome.

Hi Kurt, are you looking for insurance for the 'dry' period, the 'wet' period or both?  You may contact Kuiper Verzekeringen , as one of the main sponsors of the Contest Cup they should have a nice offer for a Contest sailor   ;)

Hi Kurt, did you ask for quotations at several insurance companies? The cost will be more then that of a house since the risks are larger. After all you won't be sailing your house in stormy weather  ;)
